Graphic Design Intern
A successful candidate will be creative and knowledgeable in graphic design, extremely organized and adept in using PhotoShop and Illustrator. Responsibilities for the Graphic Design Intern include meeting with peers to develop and design graphics/illustrations/collateral/publications in support of the company’s clients and events. The Graphic Design Intern will work in tandem with the Creative Director/CMO and internal team to execute design elements from conception to execution. The Graphic Design Intern should have enthusiasm and passion for the special event industry.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in internal brainstorm meetings
- Event design development including inspiration boards
- Execute custom designs for elements such as theatrical sets, stage décor, props
- Develop graphics for event logos, signage, collateral and websites
- Understand the complex needs of different events and diverse clients
- Be an active listener to transform client ideas into finished product
- Incorporate changes by the clients into final design
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas during internal concept development/brainstorm meetings
- Manage day-to-day needs for multiple projects at once
- Work in tandem with internal event producers and production managers and creative department daily
Experience requirements include, but are not limited to:
- High level skill in using design software (i.e.; Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop)
- Confident in independent concept development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, presentation and problem-solving skills,
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn
- Confident and quick decision making
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
