Peter Schankman
Peter Schankman has been performing since the 5th grade. Peter’s love of music drove him to study music with master pianist, Chip Stephens, at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign. While at the university, Peter regularly performed with several bands around central Illinois and Chicago. After graduating with his Bachelor’s in Music, Peter returned to St. Louis in mid-2011 and has become a mainstay in the local jazz-scene.

In addition to regular performances at the Cheshire Inn, Peter has played for well over 150 nonprofit galas, civic events, wedding receptions, corporate parties, country club events, and more in the last few years. Some highlights include playing for Governor Nixon’s 2012 Inaugural Ball, Wynton Marsalis’ birthday party and Zootini 2013.
