Event Producer

What You’ll Do

As a Producer, you will oversee all aspects of event planning and management.  Working in tandem with a production manager, you’ll help bring clients’ visions to life.  You’ll be a can-do planner and pro-active problem solver who balances all facets of planning an event from concept development all the way to the events debrief.  Along the way, you’ll work with talented booking agents, art directors, and partners who help bring big ideas to fruition.

You should be ready to:

  • Understand the complex needs of different events and diverse clients
  • Plan all event aspects, such as venue procurement, seating, dining, F&B and logistics
  • Develop, manage and stay within a budget
  • Coordinate event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers
  • Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, load-in, organizing vendors, production schedules and managing load-out
  • Anticipate and plan for possible scenarios
  • Develop relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to present event ideas and plans to clients and vendors
  • Source vendors/secure quotes and maintain a working relationship with vendors and venues
  • Manage day to day needs for several ongoing projects at once
  • Perform and manage direction of live scripted presentations and events
  • Work in tandem with production managers, creative department, accounting department, and booking division daily
  • Administrative duties as needed

What You Need

  • Minimum 2 years of event planning – experience with national talent, corporate events, weddings, and charity galas is preferred
  • Production knowledge is preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Working nights, weekend and travel will be required
